Lotus Root and Pork Rib Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500g pork ribs
  • 1 lotus root (about 300g)
  • 2 slices of ginger
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5L water

Instructions:

  1. Blanch the pork ribs in boiling water for 5 minutes, then rinse with cold water and drain.
  2. Peel and slice the lotus root into thin pieces.
  3. Heat up a pot of water and add the pork ribs, ginger, and green onion. Bring to a boil and skim off any foam.
  4. Add the lotus root and cooking wine, and simmer for 1 hour.
  5. Add salt to taste and serve hot.
